"This one is for Dad" ...at the third attempt Leo Stevens won the Rod Stevens Memorial Paddle from Coalcliff Beach to the Southern End of Seacliff Bridge and back. The paddle took place on Sunday the 12th of February 2012. The race is an annual tribute by Coalcliff Surf Life Saving Club to the late Rod Stevens. Rod was a supreme waterman and one of the club's foremost lifesavers. He died at far too young an age from Melonoma. Money raised by the event will be donated to the Cancer Council. Leo lead the race from start to finish. His sister Toni won the female event.
