Message from Director of Lifesaving Illawarra Ian Lee

G’Day Club Capts;

ANZAC Day draws the 2011-12 season to a close and surf conditions were at there calmest yesterday, apart from the wind that is. Thankyou again for another season dedicated to the community and visitors who utilise our beaches and the level of patrolling our members have provided has been outstanding. It is testament to your leadership and passion that our patrol set ups have equipment placed in strategic locations along the beaches, radios are on our patrolling members, signage is in the correct locations and our patrols are energetic and vigilant at all times. Congratulations to you and your clubs.

I will organise April lifesaving meeting minutes for distribution next week and from this the next lifesaving meeting was agreed for July 2012, pending election of incoming Director of Lifesaving.

I go into RPA tomorrow and will be up there for 5-7 days. Mobile will be on if you need to leave a message and I will return a call after this week in hospital.

Thanks again for getting behind our meetings and the support I’ve received from you throughout the last 2 seasons out on the beaches.

Regards

Ian
